The Bol house was fantastic and Ivica the owner our host was great. Very helpful in driving me to the market shop on arrival, brought fresh fish to the house & cooked it on the fire together with his own organic wine & brandy. The house was beautifully appointed, close to Zlatni rat beach and about 20 minutes walk along sea into town. The pool was super clean. Very relaxing & lovely place to stay for our 5 days. :hihi:
Perfect in every way!!!! The house is set in breathtaking surroundings all you can see in front of you is beautiful grapevine feilds, the ocean and the mountains. You can not get bored of the view ever!!! The host mr Ivika was amazing! He helped us with whatever we needed changed towels and sheets and even brought us some of his home made wine! He loves gardening and has labelled all the lovely herbs around the garden :) there is a swing and little sand pit for kids. Lots and lots of towels and extra sheets provided. The outdoor kitchen was just fantastic, we bbq’d and did all the cooking outdoor as there is even a sink and worktop! It is a very short walk from the beach and about 30 mins walk into Bol centre. There are restaurants near the house also. Absolute heaven I can not reccomend this house enough!!
Cozy apartment in a beautiful setting - perfect with a family! :nice:
The Zlatni rat beach spreads to the west of Bol and is one of the biggest and most beautiful natural beaches on the Adriatic. Like a tongue stretching almost half a kilometre into the sea, it grows with the drifting deposits of tiny pebbles, changing its shape depending on the wind and the direction of the waves. Bol is a paradise for surfers because of the favourable wind, which always blows. There is an array of high-class hotel complexes and private apartments along the beach and the coastal promenade. In the vicinity of the town centre are a baroque summer house, castle, parish church and the small square “pjaceta”.On the eastern side, a Dominican monastery, one of the most beautiful in Europe, rises on the Glavici peninsula.Only two hours walk from Bol are sites of exceptional value - the Blaca desert (church and monastery from the 16th century) and Zmajeva spilja (a cave rich in reliefs, and home to Glagolitic priests).
The island of Brač is the highest and third largest island in the Adriatic Sea. The island is well known for its quality stone used to build many palaces. This is the island with the only stone mason school in Croatia.
