Wir wurden sehr nett in Empfang genommen von einer tollen Familie. Ein wunderschönes, gut eingerichtetes Haus. In den Zimmern haben wir gut geschlafen, auf der großen Terrasse haben wir viel Zeit mit unserer 6 köpfigen Familie verbracht. Der große Grill ist super. Die Küche ist mit allen nötigen Dingen eingerichtet eine große Kühlgefrier Kombi ermöglicht große Einkäufe zu tätigen. Die großen Läden sind ca. 45 min entfernt in der Stadt Jelsa. Die zwei Strände sind sauber und wunderbar zum schnorcheln, Schlauchboot fahren, entspannen und auch für die Kinder super auch für die ganz kleinen zum buddeln. Das Meerwasser ist sauber und unglaublich schön. Wir waren 14 Nächte in dieser Unterkunft. Die freundlichen Vermieter sind vor Ort als Ansprechpartner im Haus nebenan. Nach 7 Tagen gab es frische Bettwäsche und Handtücher. In ca. 500 m gibt es einen sehr kleinen Laden. Da kann man frisches Brot und Gebäck für den nächsten Tag bestellen es gibt auch Getränke und noch einige Lebensmittel. Wir kauften dort Gebäck, Wasser, Bier, Mehl, Spüllappen, Grillbriketts, Eis. Fleisch und Käse werden nicht verkauft. Wir sind 38 J. 36 J. 15 J. 13J. 4 J. und 1,6 J. Danke für einen schönen Aufenthalt und schöne entspannte Zeit auf Hvar in Gdinj! Auf Wiedersehen! Doviđenja!
Misto je dost hlučné, hlavně ráno, domy jsou blizko sebe, vše je slyšet, koukáte z okna na balkon, na dosah ruky.Taková trampská osada....Místo je ale kouzelné, vyváží nevýhody. Dobré je mít člun a odjiždět na okolní opuštěné pláže.
We got what we hoped for based on the images. The covered, large terrace overlooking the sea is worth every penny. We felt good with 4 kids.

Gdinj consists of several hamlets, which are separated from each other by up to 2 kilometres. At very entrance of the village there is a monument to the victims of the second World War in the shape of an obelisk with the names of the fallen on it. The hamlets of Visoka and Bonkovici dvori are a very interesting rural group. The church of Sv. Juraj (St. George) of early Renaissance style, built in the 16th century, and the cemetery are the most interesting monuments of the village of Gdinj . There is also the church of Sv. Lucija (St. Lucy) in the village.
The name of Gdinj comes from a word ""bditi"" - to stay up late, i.e. to keep vigil, which indicates that Gdinj was an important look-out post, having the same character as Zastrazisce, so it has a long history. Mounds from the Bronze Age can also be found, stretching this far on the plateau from Zastrazisce. These were Illyrian tombs of stones piled up high, and then covered with massive stone slabs. The so called Vela gomila (the big mound), 30 metres in diameter, and the one next to it, slightly smaller, were unfortunately destroyed.
In the village there is the Radovanovic house, a government listed building, with a painting collection, and a library. Gdinj has a cove, Smrska, where there is the Angelini patrician country house.Towards the west is the cove of Kozja with the stronghold of the headman Matija Bartulovic from 1700. It served as a protection from pirates.
South of Brač lies Hvar, the longest island in the Adriatic. This is an island of vineyards, olive groves and lavender. Hvar is without a doubt an exceptional island. It is characterized by pleasant winter and summer resorts, mild climate and abundant subtropical vegetation.
