Good to know
Dear Guests,
Welcome! We are delighted to have you here and hope you enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay.
To ensure that everyone has a pleasant experience — including our neighbours and future guests — we kindly ask you to follow the house rules below.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We wish you a wonderful stay!
Check-in starts at 3 pm. Check-out is by 10 am.
Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7 am. Please be considerate of our neighbours: keep noise to a minimum after 11 pm and avoid playing loud music.
The terrace lights are switched on in two places: one switch is on the right-hand side of the entrance, mounted on the stone wall of the small house; the other is in the right-hand corner, underneath the small stone cover that protects the power outlet from water.
You can use this power outlet to plug in the electric BBQ and place it on the stone shelf in the corner, which is intended for grilling.
If you would like to use the stone barbecue instead, please use charcoal only and exercise great caution.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the house and is only allowed on the terrace. Please dispose of all cigarette butts immediately and safely. The area has an extremely high risk of wildfires, especially during the summer months. Please be especially careful when smoking or using any open flames, including the BBQ.
Using the BBQ is only permitted in completely windless conditions. If there is any wind, it is strictly forbidden to start a fire. Any lit fire must be constantly supervised; never leave it unattended while cooking without first extinguishing any embers with water.
A container of water must be kept near the grill at all times. Ash may only be cleaned up once it has completely gone out.
Several barbecue grates are available, and the metal cleaning brush is hanging on the wall to the right inside the cellar, behind the door.
In the summer months, please do not light the indoor fireplace in the konoba. In the winter months we will provide instructions for lighting it when needed, as the air supply on the upper floor has to be closed.
Thank you for helping us keep the house and the surrounding nature safe.
In the evening, please bring any light or fragile items (glasses, plates, books, electronics, etc.) inside from the terrace — in summer, sudden and strong storms can occur during both the day and night.
Please also close the doors of any rooms where the lights are on; this helps reduce the number of mosquitoes inside.
Mosquitoes can be easily killed with a damp cloth, which helps avoid leaving blood marks on the walls.
The tap water is supplied from the coast via an underwater pipeline. Please avoid leaving water running unnecessarily and make sure all taps are properly turned off.
Please do not flush kitchen paper towels down the toilet. Unlike toilet paper, they do not break down easily and can quickly clog the narrow drainage pipes.
Please place all clean plastic waste in the yellow bin with the recycling bag designated for plastic only. Plastic is collected on Tuesday and Friday mornings (have the bags out before 8 a.m.) — take the full bag and put it next to the green bin by the parking area.
Please place clean paper waste in the blue bin with the blue recycling bag. Paper is collected on Tuesday and Friday mornings (again, before 8 a.m.) — take the full bag and put it next to the green bin by the parking area.
Please dispose of mixed waste in rubbish bags and place them in the green bin by the parking area. Mixed waste is also collected on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
On the terrace you'll find a beautiful 250-year-old mulberry tree. During the summer it produces delicious fruit, and you're very welcome to pick and enjoy it.
As the fruit ripens, some berries may fall onto the stone terrace and leave stains. If you'd like to clean the terrace, feel free to use the garden hose, which is stored underneath the sink on the terrace.
If any damage occurs, please contact us immediately. Guests are responsible for their own valuables; the owner is not liable for any loss.
When leaving the house, please lock all entrance doors and close the window shutters. Turn off the lights, switch off all electrical appliances (including fans) and make sure all water taps are properly closed.
Wine and grease stains should be cleaned from the stone floors immediately, as they can quickly soak into the stone and become permanent.
For your own safety, please always tell someone if you plan to swim far from the shore or intend to go out in a boat, kayak or similar. Sailing or paddling a rubber boat or paddleboard can be dangerous if the wind is blowing from the shore.
Any issues or complaints should be raised during your stay so that we can arrange a timely resolution.
Before you leave, please clean up after yourselves and dispose of all rubbish. Make sure all taps are properly turned off. Empty the refrigerators of any leftover food. Turn off the lights and switch off all fans and air conditioning in every room.
Close all windows and doors through which cats, other animals or insects could enter the house.
Please leave the house keys in the lockbox on the konoba door and make sure it is securely closed.
The house should be left in the same condition as it was on your arrival.
